Guide for Patients Having Remote Appointments at Oakwood Physiotherapy Clinic

You can book a remote appointment in the same way as usual – call us on 020 8440 3629 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can pay over the phone by card. For new patients there will be a deposit payable in advance.
Note: You will need internet access for a video call appointment, using a computer or smart phone. You will also need a webcam – to be able to see each other – and audio (sound) on your computer to be able to hear each other.
For phone call consultations, all we need is your current telephone number to contact you on at the time of your appointment.
For video call consultations, we will send you an email with all the details for your appointment. The email will contain a link that looks similar to this:
This will open up a new window which will ask you to download the Zoom file – you may need to click on a button saying “Run” Zoom.exe as well. Click this link a few minutes before your appointment time.
Click the file when it has finished downloading in the bottom of your screen, and it will load up Oakwood Physiotherapy Clinic’s video call – your therapist should be visible on the screen immediately or within a minute or two so please wait until they appear.
If your camera and audio settings are all set up correctly, you should be able to hear and see each other and communicate easily with your therapist when the video call starts.

At the end of the session you simply close the window using the cross at the top right corner of your screen.
