New Osteopath and Massage Therapist Annmarie Joins Oakwood Clinic

12th February 2020

We are pleased to announce that another excellent qualified Osteopath and Massage Therapist is joining the team here at Oakwood Physiotherapy from the beginning of March 2020.

Annmarie O’Sullivan has been a professional therapist for many years – starting with Holistic Massage in 2005 which she qualified with Distinction. She went on to gain a qualification in Sports and Remedial Massage and then completed a four-year Masters of Osteopathy degree from the highly regarded European School of Osteopathy. While at University she won a Research Department Prize.

Annmarie has since undertaken further courses in Sports Injuries, Medical Acupuncture, Chronic Pain and Electrotherapy. These courses have given Annmarie a very wide range of skills and training to benefit her patients.

As Annmarie is a keen sports person herself, she has a good understanding of the needs of people who do sports or other activities. She has gained an excellent reputation and is very popular with members of running clubs, with expertise in treating common troublesome conditions such as tendon and muscle problems.

Another of Annmarie’s interests is helping people with arthritis and other chronic or long term issues such as ongoing back or neck pain, shoulder, hip and knee pain. She is also trained in Cranial Osteopathy which is suitable for all ages including babies and children as it is a very gentle treatment. Typical problems she treats in babies are sleep and feeding problems.

Osteopaths are exceptionally well trained to treat pregnancy related issues such as back pain and pelvic pain. Another area of expertise is headaches, jaw problems and migraines.

Annmarie will be working on Thursdays between 10am and 8pm each week and will be available to book for the following treatments:

  • Osteopathy or Cranial Osteopathy
  • Sports, remedial or relaxation massage
